3. The Royal Highland Show - 23rd-26th June 2022

Four day event with over 4,000 livestock on show. Demonstrations in cookery, crafts and fashion, and over 1000 stands selling anything and everything.

The Scottish Car Show is the biggest show in the country for motoring enthusiasts.

4. Inverness Highland Games - 15th July 2022

The Inverness Highland Games boasts dancers, pipers, feats of strength, and even a mass Highland Fling.

5. Edinburgh Military Tattoo - 5th-28th August 2022

Spectacular event set against the backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Hailed as one of the most spectacular shows in the world and watched by a TV audience of 100 million worldwide. Not to be missed.

The world's largest celebration of the arts, the Fringe is a huge cultural event which runs for three weeks.

6. Edinburgh Fringe Festival - 6th-28th August 2022

7. Pittenweem Art Festival - 6th-13th August 2022

In this small and friendly East Neuk of Fife village, the harbour's fishing boats, steep wynds and quirky cottages provide a picturesque backdrop as over 100 artists from all over Britain exhibit their work in houses, garages, halls and shops, and on the pier.

9. Pitlochry Highland Games - 10th September 2022

Everything you would expect at a Highland games event. Highland dancing, pipers, track and field events, grand pipe band contest for grades 1 to 4 and novice juvenile, and a grand finale of massed pipe bands.
