Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - 2nd August 2019

Arrive in Edinburgh. You will be transferred to the Bonham in Edinburgh City Centre and you can then enjoy the colour and excitement of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival by foot (no further transport today).

Wander down the Royal Mile from the clifftop 12th century Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the bottom and be thrilled by all of the attractions on the way.

Stay at the elegant Bonham Hotel for 2 nights.

Day 2 -3rd August 2019

Today you can further explore the city with a trip down to Leith where you can board the Royal Yacht Britannia, retired from ‘ruling the waves’ and now opening her doors for you to discover her royal secrets at your leisure! Visit the Botanic Gardens which have remarkable gardens and glasshouses to explore, some of which date to the 18th century.

No transport today as Edinburgh is a city best explored by foot/ taxi/ tram.

Attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo this evening.

Stay at the Bonham Hotel

Day 3 - 4th August 2019

You will be collected by your Driver this morning. Travel to Stirling to visit the Castle and Wallace Monument and explore the bloody history of Scotland.

Drive on to Bridge of Allan to attend the annual Highland Games, which includes heavy weights, wrestling and Highland dancing, testing the skills of dancers of all ages!

Stay 1 night at Monachyle Mhor.

Day 4 - 5th August 2019

Travel east past the stunning Loch Earn and visit Scone Palace, near Perth, where the Kings of Scotland were crowned and the original home of the Stone of Destiny. Travel through Newburgh where you can stop and have a tour and tasting at Lindores Distillery before heading to the coastal village of Elie to stay at the renowned Ship Inn for 2 nights.

Day 5 - 6th August 2019

Travel the short distance to fishing village, Pittenweem to enjoy a day at the locally celebrated Art Festival which runs for 8 days and takes over the village, showcasing the wonderful talents of all kinds of artists from all over Britain in houses, garages, shops and on the pier.

Stay at the Ship Inn

Day 6 - 7th August 2019

Depart homeward bound
